Led by two-time national player of the year Kathryn Plummer, left, Stanford won an unprecedented eighth NCAA championship in women’s volleyball in December, defeating Nebraska three games to two. Plummer, ’20, had a team-high 19 kills in the final match and shared the tournament title of Most Outstanding Player with libero Morgan Hentz, ’20. It was the second title in three years for the Cardinal and the first under second-year head coach Kevin Hambly.
