It’s probably in the pipeline. Because it takes time to write, edit and produce high-quality Class Notes, your news typically appears two to three issues after you submit it.
Stanford publishes brief, staff-written obituaries of alumni and faculty. You may submit obituary information here or email us.
We depend on readers to bring some of our best stories to light. We also depend on alumni for essays
and Stanford memories. If you have an idea for us, email us a few sentences that explain the gist of the idea and why you think it would be a good fit for Stanford. You are welcome to include background information. Please note that while we welcome and encourage story ideas from all Stanford readers, we are not considering story pitches from freelance writers at this time.

We receive a lot of books, and we try to include as many as we can. It may take several issues for it to be included. Books not included in Biblio File will be mentioned in the Class Notes section of the magazine.
Yes, we work with a small group of experienced freelance writers, illustrators and photographers. If
you would like to be considered for freelance assignments, please send a cover letter and
clips/samples of your work via email. Please note that because most of our stories are written by in-house writers, we are not considering story pitches from freelance writers at this time.
