Brown University: Studying the issue through a committee appointed this year. Eliminated on-campus programs in the early 1970s.
University of Chicago: Does not ban ROTC; program was discontinued in 1936 through lack of interest. A few ROTC students fulfill requirements at nearby universities.
Columbia University: University senate in April passed a resolution 51-17 (with one abstention) supporting the possibility of reinviting ROTC.
Harvard University: Reinstated ROTC by agreement with the Navy in March.
Yale University: In discussions with military officials for the possible return of ROTC. On-campus unit was disbanded in 1970.
