After an unseasonable rain delay, the top-ranked women’s tennis team won its third straight NCAA title May 23, beating No. 7 Miami 4-1. It is the fifth team title in six years for head coach Lele Forood, ’78, whose record improves to 168-3. Seniors Alice Barnes, Joanna Kao, Jessica Leck and Amber Liu leave the Farm with a nearly perfect dual-match record, losing only once, to Florida in the finals of the 2003 NCAAs. The Cardinal’s 86-game winning streak is an NCAA record.
