Bancroft Press will publish The Mandarin Club, a novel by Gerald Warburg, MA ’79, in May. The book follows a group of Stanford friends through intersecting careers and the moral quandaries they provoke. Writer Peter Maass called The Mandarin Club “le Carre crossed with The Big Chill—a wonder­ful Washington novel for our times.”...Jessica Dang, ’03, is one of eight contestants in the reality show The Next Food Network Star, which premieres March 19 on the Food Network. The winner will host a six-episode cooking show. Some scenes for the series were filmed at the Farm.... Camille Ricketts, ’06, was selected as the 2006 Daniel Pearl Memorial Journalism Intern and will work this summer in the London bureau of the Wall Street Journal. Ricketts is editor-in-chief of the Stanford Daily, and a former Stanford intern.
