Stanford’s oldest continuously operating dorm turned 100 this fall. For its first quarter-century, Roble provided an alternative to Greek life for “hall women,” and in the 1960s and ’70s, it housed early iterations of Stanford’s ethnic theme dorms. Now with one of its former parlor rooms converted into a “makerspace for sustainability and art,” Roble continues its legacy as a site of innovation in student life.
