Elizabeth Howton, ’90, is one of 12 journalists selected to spend the 2006-07 academic year on the MIT campus in the 24th class of Knight Science Journalism Fellows. . . . Alan Burdick, ’88, National Book Award finalist for Out of Eden: An Odyssey of Ecological Invasion, has won the Whitman Bassow Award for best reporting in any medium on international environmental issues.
