Sure, Becky Crowe Hill had a 10th reunion to celebrate. But that wasn’t the only reason she returned to the Farm October 20-23. Hill, ’95, MA ’96, teamed up with three other expectant mothers, Jessica Tong Baron, ’97, MA ’97, Claudia Franco Walsh, ’97, and Paige Parenti, to form a relay team at the alumni swim meet Saturday morning. “We thought, ‘We’ll just lower the bar for everyone,’ ” says Hill, laughing.

They weren’t the only ones making a splash on campus that weekend. A record-breaking 5,476 alumni returned to campus, bringing along 2,498 guests. They sharpened their minds at classes on everything from contemporary art to medical ethics; attended film fests, open houses and tributes; and reminisced into the wee hours at class parties and minireunions. Even the football team got into the act, defeating Arizona State 45-35. In sum, everything went swimmingly.
