Faculty, students and staff can play basketball, volleyball or squash, scale a rock-climbing wall, practice yoga, lift weights and more in the new Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, which opened October 10 on the former site of Encina Gym. The 75,000-square-foot facility also houses the fencing team, sports medicine and an academic resource center. With the opening of the recreation center, Roble Gym has been converted to academic use by the drama department and its dance division.
