The University has announced the speakers for the 115th Commencement. Journalist and author Tom Brokaw, the parent of an alumna, will deliver the address at the undergraduate ceremony June 18. Carnegie Corporation president and former Brown University president Vartan Gregorian, ’58, PhD ’64, will speak at the graduate commencement on June 17. The ceremonies are being held separately due to the renovation of Stanford Stadium.

“Mr. Brokaw’s firsthand view of history as a network anchor and respected journalist offers precisely the kind of perspective and knowledge that will be of high interest to classmates on this momentous day,” said the senior class presidents in a statement. University President John Hennessy said Gregorian’s remarks “will be a perfect capstone for the achievements of our graduate students at a time of great pride for them and their families.”
