English professor Seth Lerer won the 2008 National Book Critics Circle award for criticism for Children’s Literature: A Reader’s History from Aesop to Harry Potter. Kathryn Harrison, ’82, was a finalist for the group’s Nona Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing.
Kathryn Ma, ’78, MA ’78, won the 2009 Iowa Short Fiction Award for her collection All That Work and Still No Boys.
