On April 29, dedication ceremonies for the eight-building Graduate School of Business complex, the Knight Management Center, attracted thousands of attendees to the 12.5-acre site within the triangle formed by Campus Drive East and Galvez and Serra streets. The $345 million project, kick-started with a $105 million contribution from Nike founder Philip H. Knight, MBA '62, features multiform conference and classroom spaces, plus dining and gathering spots meant to draw students and faculty from throughout the campus. On May 20, speakers at the Law School's William H. Neukom Building opening included U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. The facility, with four three-story wings housing the Mills Legal Clinic and faculty offices, was supported by a lead gift of $20 million from Neukom, JD '67, managing general partner of the San Francisco Giants.
