Stanford alumni work to restore native habitat in San Francisco’s Presidio as part of a Global Day of Service coordinated by the Beyond the Farm initiative. Launched in 2010, the program underscores the spirit of service upon which the University was founded. On May 18, 1,735 participants in 71 cities lent a hand to 102 community projects, from packing medical supplies to planting a school garden.
