Due to the renovation of Stanford Stadium, the 115th Commencement will be held this June on the football practice field. Frost Amphitheater, the University’s commencement venue for 45 years, originally was selected as the site for graduation. But a number of seniors objected, citing limited seating in Frost. The University president’s office set up a poll allowing students and parents to express a preference for Frost, with four tickets per graduate; Roble Field (seven tickets); or the football practice field (nine tickets). The practice field—which will be outfitted with folding chairs and a raised stage, plus two Jumbotron-style screens—prevailed among the more than 750 voters.
