It’s that time again: when high school seniors (and their parents) pore over U.S. News & World Report’s college rankings, and schools decry the magazine’s methodology. Stanford tied for fifth this year in the main “national universities—doctoral” category, along with Caltech, Duke and the University of Pennsylvania. Several of the University’s graduate schools fared a bit better: Business, Education, Engineering and Law each placed second in their respective surveys.
Meanwhile, the Princeton Review released its Best 351 Colleges Rankings, where Stanford cracked the top 20 in six categories. Its highest ranking was sixth, for “happiest students.”
