Sophomore Stewart Isaacs launches skyward as members of Stanford Jump Rope look on. The club started in 2013 with just four jumpers, each a longtime competitor in the niche sport. But their performances quickly proved infectious, swelling the current roster to 16, ranging from newcomers to world beaters like Isaacs, the club president. A competitive jumper since age 6, Isaacs has showcased his talents in a movie and as far away as South Africa, but what he loves most is the inner joy of testing his creativity. “I like pushing the envelope to see what is possible for me and for the sport.”
