Matilde Nino-Murcia, professor of radiology at the Medical School, has won the Inspirational Immigrant Professional of the Year award from Upwardly Global, a nonprofit that helps immigrants and refugees build careers in the United States. Born in a rural town in Colombia, Nino-Murcia immigrated in the 1970s.
