Joseph Siravo, ’77, right, and Brandon Matthieus (formerly Singleton), ’98, MA ’98, each play several parts in the first national tour of the Tony- and Grammy-award-winning Jersey Boys. Among their past credits are Matthieus’s role as Simba in Broadway’s The Lion King and Siravo’s recurring role as Johnny Boy Soprano on The Sopranos. When they met in rehearsal for Jersey Boys’ six-month run at San Francisco’s Curran Theater, they realized they had something in common beyond a Stanford education—each sang in the Mendicants, 20 years apart. Both actors plan to continue with Jersey Boys to Los Angeles in May.
