About the Internship
Stanford Magazine offers paid internships for Stanford students interested in magazine journalism. Interns work closely with editors and staff writers to produce the bimonthly magazine and its website. Interns fact-check, report, and write short articles for the magazine, and assist with research and reporting for longer features. Interns also help with clerical tasks and participate in pitch, reading, and headline meetings. Interns are paid $17.80 per hour and work 10 or 20 hours per week.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have student journalism experience or have completed previous internships in the industry. Preference goes to current Stanford students.
Responsibilities
Fact-check manuscripts and assist editors with research and reporting. Participate in pitch, reading, and headline meetings. Report and write short articles for the magazine as assigned. Perform light clerical duties as needed.
