The men's swim team, shrouded in mist at an early morning practice, is headed toward a showdown with top-ranked Auburn at the NCAA championships in late March. Under head coach Skip Kenney, standing, the second-ranked Cardinal extended its winning streak in dual meets to 37 earlier this season, and was shooting for a 24th consecutive Pac-10 title.
