Every quarter, there is one night when the most popular online destination for students isn’t Hulu or Instagram but AXESS, Stanford’s course registration site. At 11:59 p.m. on the night before registration begins, students all over campus anxiously wait in front of their laptop screens to enroll in courses that often fill up within minutes.
