Anyone who's ever attempted a kitchen remodel may find this hard to believe, but the $30 million reconstruction of Maples Pavilion is finishing well ahead of schedule. Among the new amenities that await Cardinal basketball fans this winter: a four-sided, center-hung scoreboard with video display, new wood flooring, retractable courtside seats, elevators, a 360-degree concourse plaza, new concession areas and enlarged restrooms with speakers. The original building was designed in 1967.
