In addition to Clark Peterson, at least two other Stanford alumni co-produced films nominated for Oscars this year—Alan Curtiss (Master and Commander), ’73, and Jane Sindell (Seabiscuit), ’75. It was Sindell’s first credit as producer; Curtiss has served on more than 30 movies, including Cast Away, The Green Mile and Dead Poets Society.... Dave Flemming, ’98, MA ’98, has joined the broadcast team for the San Francisco Giants after three years as play-by-play man for the Boston Red Sox’s Triple-A affiliate in Pawtucket, R.I. Giants executive vice president and chief operating officer Larry Baer called Flemming “one of the up-and-comers” among big league broadcasters.... Kirk McAllister, ’66, is one of the attorneys representing Scott Peterson, who is accused of murdering his wife, Laci, and the couple’s unborn child in 2002.... Lake/Flato Architects, Inc., earned its field’s highest honor recently when it was named 2004 Firm of the Year by the American Institute of Architects. Founding partner Ted Flato, ’77, said the news “took my breath away.” Lake/Flato, based in San Antonio, designed the SBC Center (above), new home of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs.
