Butterscotch walls and marbled ceramic tile floors are paving the way for an expansive living room that will greet students this fall; leather sofas and chairs will be arranged for chatting and the occasional catnap. Just off the living room: a late-night café and foosball tables. A new grand staircase leads to second-floor meeting rooms. On the third floor, The Circle (Center for Interreligious Community, Learning and Experience), has an intimate redwood sanctuary with special benches to store ritual items, and two footbaths for Muslims to perform ablution rites.
