The Law School will move from a semester- to a quarter-based academic calendar over the next four years, so that courses and programs can be coordinated with the rest of the University.
The change involves a two-step transition. For 2006-07, the school will modify its calendar so that its second semester begins at the same time as the University’s winter quarter. If that is successful, the school will move to the quarter system by 2009-10. Dean Larry Kramer says the shift will facilitate joint degrees and research across campus.
