Synchronized swimmers appear to rise like sea nymphs out of the spray in this upside down underwater view captured during practice at the first phase of the U.S. National Team trials in January. Six members of the veteran squad—including Mariya Koroleva, ’12, who competed for the United States in the duet competition at the London Olympics—finished among the top 10.
Stanford played host to the second phase of the trials at Avery Aquatic Center in March.
