May 19 saw the much anticipated return of Frost Amphitheater to its former glory as a live music venue. Nearly 5,000 attendees filled the sun-drenched bowl for a show organized by the student-run Stanford Concert Network. Not since the '80s had the amphitheater hosted a bona fide rock act. Headliners Modest Mouse “loved the story behind the venue and our event and are excited to be a part of it,” said Emily Pollock, '13, lead director of the SCN. The group hopes to bring more large-scale concerts to Frost.
