Members of the Class of '15 participating in Stanford pre-Orientation trips (SPOT) camp on the Farm for the night before embarking on five-day excursions. Whether learning about wildland stewardship in the Eastern Sierra or sustainable agriculture on the Peninsula, SPOT forges camaraderie and gives students their first taste of Stanford culture. Case in point: As the sun sets on the clearing amid the eucalyptus trees, "All Right Now" plays on a nearby radio, prompting the University's newest initiates to break into dance.
