A last-minute deal rescued Printers Inc., the Palo Alto bookstore slated to close March 31 ("Bad News for Book Lovers," March/April). On March 25, a longtime employee bought the store, which has been a California Avenue gathering place and favorite Stanford haunt for two decades. In early April, the shop celebrated its 21st birthday with a "The Store Is Saved" party.
