Stanford is using the web to expand video coverage of its 35 athletic programs. Interviews with coaches and players, profiles and feature segments, and live pregame broadcasts before football home games are on view at the Cardinal Channel, which links both to YouTube-hosted video presentations and the GoStanford site with its comprehensive news and results. Among the channel's planned regular series is 19 Hours, which will allow each of Stanford's Olympics-related programs to spotlight its athletes and teams in 19 hours of short films.

The football pregame broadcasts, originating from the Fan Fest area near Stanford Stadium, will span 90 minutes and include interviews with coaches, student-athletes and alumni, plus contests for fans.
