Spare the water, but let the paint flow. That’s how work began on a project to decorate the bottom of The Claw fountain in White Plaza with an acrylic-on-canvas image of the sky. With the fountain dry because of water conservation, the Stanford Daily reports, local artist Sukey Bryan envisoned the art as an easily removable piece that she would create with help from students. The photo, supplied by Bryan, is a mock-up of the concept; 40 students volunteered to work on it, according to the Daily.
