At Last Count: 5,400,000

That's the estimated number of jobs created by companies founded by Stanford faculty and alumni. The revelation came from an analysis released in October quantifying the economic impact of the University's decades of entrepreneurship. The survey was conducted by engineering professor emeritus Charles Eesley and emeritus GSB professor William Miller. Some other figures from the study can be seen in the illustration above.
