The stereotype of women going to college primarily to find a husband is long dead and gone, but Alumni Association records show 23,762 Stanford alums whose partners are Stanford alums. Although the association knows the marital/partner status of only 68 percent of alumni, of the 45.1 percent of alumni known to have partners or spouses, fully 24.9 percent paired up with a fellow grad, and they make up 11.2 percent of all alumni. What's more, 27.7 percent of those who chose Stanford mates chose them from their own class year.
