When members of the Class of 2018 arrive on campus in late September, they will come from all 50 states and 60 foreign countries, and one of them hails from a Los Angeles school that has never before sent a freshman to Stanford.
Siena Streiber is the first high school graduate of Wildwood School to attend Stanford, but her connections to the Farm run deep. Her parents are Art Streiber, '84, and Glynis Costin, MA '84; other family alums are her great-uncle John Kates, '58, and great-grandfather Arthur Kates, '32. But what is most unusual about her pedigree is this: In March 2000, Siena's baby photo appeared on the cover of this magazine.
That cover story, which focused on child rearing, was published when Siena was in preschool. It appears to have been the extent of her modeling career—Siena, a singer-songwriter and comedic actress, is now one of 1,691 new freshmen.
